I have been interested in writing since an early age, and as a comedian and performer, perhaps enjoyed the writing stage of the process most of all. When my comedy group Pegabovine came to an end, it seemed natural to concentrate primarily on writing.

I wrote a spec screenplay - "Love Machine" - which is a romantic comedy about killer robots. I am currently working on my second screenplay.

I have also been working on original sitcoms, including one teamwritten sitcom "Union" with Kate Chedgey and Sarah Dean, and some writing in a team for a sketch-sitcom for TV which has been optioned by BBC North - "Angela Of The North", created for Sally Lindsay (Coronation Street, Phoenix Nights).

In the past, I have written short films for Videojug, and sketches for "Tilt" (BBC7) and "28 Acts In 28 Minutes" (BBC Radio 4). I wrote on a spec pilot for Radio 4 entitled "Investigation: Nation" with Josie Long, Richard Hurst, Chas Early and the rest of Pegabovine. I was also longlisted for the BBC Witty & Twisted competition with my script "Wateracre Sings Your Heart Out".

I am an experienced comic songwriter and lyricist, and examples of this can be heard at my Bandcamp site. I have written songs for seven annual community pantomimes in Surbiton. Songs were integral to "Polite Club", my one-person show at the Edinburgh Fringe, which led the Scotsman to decree my compositions "top-quality musical material".

Other writing includes extensive copywriting for the Greenbelt Festival publicity and festival guide, copywriting for the Ministry of Stories / Hoxton Monster Supplies Store, reviews for Culture Wars, and deputy editorship of the daily National Student Drama Festival magazine Noises Off (2005-2009). I have also read scripts for the Soho Theatre and New Writing South.

With Pegabovine, I won a Commendation for Comic Writing at the National Student Drama Festival.
